What sort of vacuum pressure can typical lab glassware handle? I never see 
it mentioned anywhere and I see talk of mechanical pumps to do vaccuums to 
very low pressure and I'm just kind of surprised, I guess, that regular 
glass labware could handle those kinds of negative pressures.

I was planning on getting a hand pump for vacuum distillation. I assume this 
will be good enough for my needs.
